Flexovit’s Commitment to Environmental Responsibility
Environmental sustainability is more than just a trend; it is a responsibility we all share. At Flexovit, we recognize the importance of reducing our environmental footprint and by switching to 100% recycled material for our packaging, we are not only reducing waste but also contributing to the circular economy, ensuring that materials are reused and recycled as much as possible.
What’s Changing?
For our industrial performance abrasive product range, we are moving away from the familiar yellow and black boxes made from gloss chrome cardboard and varnish. In their place, we are introducing brown boxes made from 100% recycled cardboard, printed with eco-friendly water-based black ink. Additionally, we’re replacing the plastic adhesive sealing tape with unprinted brown paper tape. These new boxes will be 100% recyclable!
To meet the latest material identification regulations, our new Flexovit boxes will feature the ‘PAP 20’ pictogram, indicating they are made from corrugated board. This not only helps with material identification but also demonstrates our adherence to industry standards.
How Will the Switch Be Managed?
Starting in October 2024, we have begun a phased transition to these fully recycled brown boxes, with the process continuing into 2025. This gradual rollout ensures minimal waste while we make the switch.
