PRESS RELEASE

Work smarter and faster than before with Flexovit’s latest range of ultra-thin cutting discs. With a highly specialised bond and the premium Maxx3 ceramic grain, these 1.0mm cutting discs will deliver an unrivalled standard of metal cutting performance in terms of speed, comfort, and product life.

Even at low pressure, Flexovit’s Maxx3 continually fractures; exposing newly sharpened edges, which keeps the disc effective for far longer than with other abrasive grains. This abrasive creates the perfect balance between unbeatable cutting performance and superior operator comfort; effortlessly slicing through metal with ease and accuracy.

With the 1.0mm ultra-thin structure, the ceramic grain is really able to excel. As the surface contact area is lower between disc and workpiece, the cut pressure is much higher than with a thicker disc, as such the user does not need to force the disc through the metal. This factor affords the operator much greater control and accuracy over their process and a higher quality part is the net result.

In fact, testing has shown that there is (up to) a 40% increase in productivity when compared to other discs; saving the customer time and money. In addition, as the user requires less force to make their cut, this 1mm ultra-thin range offers a much more comfortable experience with fewer vibrations being felt by the operator.

“These cutting discs are designed for professionals who appreciate a high-end abrasive,” said Derk Vruwink, Sr. Product Manager for Thin Wheels at Saint-Gobain Abrasives.

“We are confident that our customers will experience a real tangible difference by using the 1mm ultra-thin discs; saving time and money on all of their cutting processes.”

To ensure that the discs remain as fresh possible and to maintain performance from the first disc to the last, they are packaged in specialised X-Tend packaging. With an added desiccant, Flexovit’s X-Tend tubs are airtight, watertight, and re-sealable; keeping the discs as good as when they first left the production line.

Ultra-thin cutting discs are available from your Flexovit stockist now, for more information please contact your Flexovit representative for more information or visit www.flexovit.com.
